I just wish I would have put the grooves in mine but it still lathers fine without them.

My very first attempt at turning a bowl didn't go so well. I forgot the first rule of turning, keep the tool rest close to your work. I was gouging out the inside and let my tool hang over the tool rest down inside the bowl about 3" when it hit a knot and "BAMM!" got smacked upside the head with the tool! I was lucky I was wearing a face shield because where the tool hit was at my temple, that could have been real bad, left a hell of a mark on my face shield.................

Thanked: 292A lovely piece of work. I might be tempted if I were not addicted to warm lather. I heat a ceramic bowl on top of a candle warmer and use it for building a lather. While I love my warm lather, my bowl is no where near as attractive as your wooden one. Well done!

Thanks for the compliment Sean! Glad yours is working out for you although I do wish I had thought about putting grooves in the bottom of it. Mine doesn't have them either.................
