Hehe, when my uncle was cleaning out he was thinking that an old hone was broken since it was so smooth... Straight in the bin. Wonder what it was? Probably my grandfathers barber hone...

As for tools, I am thinking to bring a hammer, to see if they are solid. And mb some blackpowder

Sad to hear Einar, Where did your grandpa live and what was his work before or even your grand grandpa might have owned the stone, cause older generation dont throw anything away as long as it still can be used some day, even people that didnt use straight razors had stones before especially farmers, fishers and kitchens, and also the water wheel that almost all people had to grind theire axes and so on that usaly stood outside. I just remember the stones my grandpa had that he used was so black and polished so fine it was finer then the rocks on the beach, and they also vanished after he died somehow. Back to Norway and the quarry: The places they mined is solid so you need more then a hammer, i would buy a ston ehammer and chissel, i would also bring some metal rods(dont know the names in english but in norwegian its named "spett") and some wedges of wood, and if your lucky you might find pre drilled holes and i wouldnt use black powder cause you will probably end up with alot of small rocks you can throw instead. Its a fine balance messuring exact when you havent done it before. i would rather try to find or get some "troll powder" its powder they use on rocks that they cant blast away on. and that powder will expand itself so the piece of rock breaks away, but then you usaly need more then 1 hole or if your lucky a crack where the powder or water dont vanishes from.

Imagine it's stolen from the germans or that it was my grand's stone. He was responsible for seising officers equipment after ww2, but destructed most of it.. If I sold that stuff, then 50 vivi razors would be cheap

As for the blackpowder that was a joke The place are a heritage place, so only going after lose rock.
