Every time you mention a Finnish dish I get hungry for it. Pavlovs dog or Sailors nightblade ??

The world is a very small place indeed......we just don't know it.
Besides karjalanpaisti, mämmi and karjalanpiirakka i cannot imagine anything that's specially Finnish. Those pies are tasty. Eat em almost daily with real butter. Wifey and mother-in-law make some damn good ones. There's also a version of those pies but much smaller. Called groom pies (make your wannabe son-in-law to get along with smaller pies). Those Carelians were so nasty.
Now I want some pictures of those pies. You can't just start talking about'em and then think you can just walk away from all this....ohhhh no !
Here's some
Okay then.......drooooooooool !!! I know these. We have discussed these gems before. Good on ya Tomi !!:D
it really is good that I had dinner just a bit ago. otherwise I would be cleaning out the fridge.....Hmmm, that's funny Mick just made a similar comment to me just a bit ago. :hmmm:
Having one for dinner, and trying to pick a flavor for the night...

Hot sauce/Tabasco on pancakes????
I will try anything once but that is testing me!:D
The pancakes are a delivery mechanism for the eggs. And a filler... Trust me, it's awesome.
To clarify, the sauce goes on the eggs, not on top of the pancake.
My daily breakfast is simple . 2 scoops whey protein, half cup rye oats, soy milk a banana a half cup cantaloupe, one raw egg mix it up and drink it down. MMMMM four times a day does a body good !
dinner is either a tenderloin with spinach or bean burritos. I tend to stick with really high protein levels. That and living in china I have no faith at all in food safety.
But ya in short basically my diet.
Oh yeah and I would have gone with maybe the regular texas red sauce I thinks. I've done and egg sandwich like this years ago but I did it with fried egg runny yolk. I likes it messeh !:chapeau
Sorry still no breakfast pics but how about poor cell phone pic of recent dessert?
Vanilla ice cream & meringue with hot tyanuchki sauce and some blueberries and raspberries. Not bad.

Former fat boy here - down 70 pounds in the last two years eating low sugar and avoiding simple carbs six days/week. Recent breakfast of scrambled egg, peppers & onions, beans, sausage, guacamole, coffee with cream and a little sugar (my only indulgence, really, sugar in coffee). 500 calories and hard to finish. Beans - it's all about beans.

The weekend is here and no more work for the day. I hadn't eaten in about 10 hours so I guess this counts as Breakfast! On the way home I called my wife to make sure we had oatmeal in the cupboard. When I told her what I planned to eat She said she was going to pick up Chinese takeout so I told her I wanted Pork Egg Foo Young. I found an Oatmeal Milk Stout called Moo Joos brewed by Brau Brothers Brewing in Lucan Minnesota. That sounded perfect! Walking down the aisle I saw Finlandia vodka from Finland and thought a toast to my new friend Sailor would be good. I have some hops from last year and although the color isn't the greatest the taste is there.
Here are the results.

The oatmeal really took on the flavor of the beer. The Moo Joos is bitter and add to that the hops it definitely needed some brown sugar. The Egg Foo Young was good for takeout. After the toast to Sailor anything would taste good!
The only thing I would maybe change is to use a lighter beer. The oatmeal surprised me in how it absorbed the other flavors.
I haven't decided yet if I am going to go to bed early now or hang around here making silly posts for the rest of the night! :beer1:
Due to the saturdayness of the day, and despite the fact that I am still working I decided to haves big brekkie instead of poached eggs on ricecakes.
Egg benedict, beans, mini hash browns, mushrooms and cheese kransky. Coffee to drink.

Fish and chips are good any day of the week! Why only Friday? Do you have a watch with the date on it? Have you been relaxing and stopped swinging your arm to wind it? It is still Friday for 3 hours...
If i swing my arm forth and back instead of back and forth will it still wind?
[Silly post #2]
I live 2 weeks out of 3 in a mining camp, Friday is fish and chips, Saturday is roast night, Sunday is special dinner, where the chefs choose a theme, like seafood or curry etc, have not really noticed a trend the rest of the time, I usually get a steak or grilled chicken and salad.
I wear this watch for work
Attachment 136336
As you can see it doesn't have a date function
Generally its dark from 6.30-6.30 ish at the moment, so if its light its daytime, I keep a piece of wood and scratch the days into it, if I get more than 14 scratches I start jumping up and down.
I work in a shed working on ore cars for locomotives. I have never been underground except for caves.
#$%^&^%$
I better get to bed!:rofl2:
#3 i think
Is it Saturday yet?
breakfast-time in Germany...
rolls and coffee
Sounds like either having fun or going the harm's way. You decide!
Anyways. Found this vid from the wonderworld of Utube. Local gentleman has a pleasure of showing us the traditional way to enjoy small quantities of vodka. I shall name this style as 'it's time to go to bed'. Luckily not so common these days, such an old school but i remember seeing some folks like my grandfather or some work mates practising this style.
