a bit of help from the coffee snobs please
So I have had the same coffee pot for a few years now, I hate this coffee pot as every time I pour a cup of coffee about half a cup dribbles down the side of the pot, no matter how slow or fast I pour. So I am looking for recommendations for a new coffee maker. Preferably a drip pot. So any suggestions?

I have a Bunn Coffee Maker.
It makes a full pot in about 2 minutes or less.
LOVE IT

Thanked: 1185I use MR. coffee. It has an a timer on it you can set so the coffee is made when I get up. Been using one for 30+ years now. They do break down in time so I have had 3 of them. I have had one of those pots your talking about and found it drips all over only when it's at 12 cups full and you just have to pour the first cup slower. I went and bought a replacement pot and it was better. I have poured from other folks pots and found the same thing. For me the timer is the important part. I can sleep through earthquakes and live bands but the smell of coffee wakes this dead guy up right away.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Yea timer is essential since I always wake up to late to make the coffee so it is good that it basically makes itself. Especially since my gas station stopped giving me free coffee all the time lol

You want the best drip maker out there? Get a technovorm.

Clever dripper! Or even better Bonavita's porcelain version of it. I use that, an aeropress, or a Chemex (for when I need to make more than a cup). They take a little longer, but make great coffee. I roast my own & have tried quite a few brewers. Haven't tried a technovorm yet... on my list though

10Pups,
we have a few here I admire, I would like to roast my own and enjoy but life gets in the way.
That being said, I do use a French Press when time allows but for the daily grind (and yes I do grind fresh) a Bunn has been my go to.
It makes a good cup O'Joe and takes just shy of 3 minutes.
I just had to replace my first Bunn last Christmas, it had been in service around 20 years and in my house 4 pots is a light day.It is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!

I like a drip pot. The hot water goes through the grounds once and that is all. A Mr Coffee is the simplest and trashing the filter is not a bummer.
A Vac pot is next best; again, the water goes only once through the grounds, But, it takes watching unless its an old electric one.
The main thing is to use a full heaping tablespoon of coffee per cup of brew.Vacuum Coffee Maker - How does it work? Demo - YouTube
The old Sunbeams are great if the seal around the Upper section is still good. Usually about $10-$20 at an Antique store.
A Moka pot is my go to for the summer months when a !Kw flash boiler in my espresso machine is a bit much for the air-conditioning to have to handle.

PS I have had all the fancy ones and I still hand pull espresso during the cool months.Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
