I use MR. coffee. It has an a timer on it you can set so the coffee is made when I get up. Been using one for 30+ years now. They do break down in time so I have had 3 of them. I have had one of those pots your talking about and found it drips all over only when it's at 12 cups full and you just have to pour the first cup slower. I went and bought a replacement pot and it was better. I have poured from other folks pots and found the same thing. For me the timer is the important part. I can sleep through earthquakes and live bands but the smell of coffee wakes this dead guy up right away.
