I was watching a show the other day about cast iron for cooking.
One of the recipes was a chocolate chip cookie in a 10 or 12 inch pan.......:hmmm:

It'll probably have to cool several hours before bars can be cut--maybe even tomorrow.
Research shows that if you cook them until a toothpick comes out clean in the center that once cooled they will be over cooked.
I'll report back later.
Is there any left? I will be over in a few minutes..
Looking forward to your report.
Did it stick? The one I watched dumped it out right away. Or at least soon.
Come on over! There's enough for the two of us.
I used a spray to lube the skillet and I had just turned it over when I heard the email notice so----------------

DANG!
Just checked my calendar and have a conflict.
Sorry I will have to get you next time......:(
Looks great!
I'll get some in the freezer for when you can break free. hehehe
Ok, they are very good. Nice and moist with a bit of a crunch on the top and bottom. However the pieces in the center is a little on the 'wet side'--even with allowing the dough to stay in the hot pan.
What I think I'll do next time is divide the dough in 1/2 and bake in two 10" cast iron pans. The original recipe called for a 10"X15" Jellyroll pan so I figure the dough would be about 1/2 as thick.
Anyway it was fun and they are good. I'll post the recipe.
