I was watching a show the other day about cast iron for cooking.
One of the recipes was a chocolate chip cookie in a 10 or 12 inch pan.......

Ask and ye shall receive---
25 minutes later at in a 350 deg oven---
It'll probably have to cool several hours before bars can be cut--maybe even tomorrow.
Research shows that if you cook them until a toothpick comes out clean in the center that once cooled they will be over cooked.
I'll report back later. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Is there any left? I will be over in a few minutes..
Looking forward to your report.
Did it stick? The one I watched dumped it out right away. Or at least soon.

I'll get some in the freezer for when you can break free. hehehe
Ok, they are very good. Nice and moist with a bit of a crunch on the top and bottom. However the pieces in the center is a little on the 'wet side'--even with allowing the dough to stay in the hot pan.
What I think I'll do next time is divide the dough in 1/2 and bake in two 10" cast iron pans. The original recipe called for a 10"X15" Jellyroll pan so I figure the dough would be about 1/2 as thick.
Anyway it was fun and they are good. I'll post the recipe.
