Thread: Cast iron?

My Dad who is 91 years old still says he will use his cast pans but in reality he can't. Haven't seen a cast skillet on his stove for years. I even tried to buy them from him but no, still says he has plans on using them.

I'd like to not only meet your dad, but shake his hand and spend some time listening to him tell about his life.

He has some stories to tell. I really like to hear about his childhood and when he was in the war, number 2 that is.

Can yo record it? Many don't want to say anything until they get older.

I've been wanting to write a journal of some of his stories. He never talked about it till recently, I am/was amazed at some of his tales.

That would be great. Record and then write them down. There's not much out there in the true words of those who lived through those times. I enjoy listening to my dad talk about the past. He's 81 and they sure have some great stories.
