If you be worried about that they have coated iron like the Le Creuset which are enameled over cast iron. Yea I know purists would turn their noses up at stuff like that and it's high dollar too.
Actually I don't think cooking on cast iron imparts that much iron to you. Maybe if you cook a lot of acidic fare.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

"Researchers conclude that, “the use of iron pots is a cheap and sustainable way of providing a population with a sufficient iron supply.”[2] This is good news for those who often don’t get enough iron in their diet, like vegetarians, and for those who don’t want to add another supplement to their regimen." https://universityhealthnews.com/dai...ncy-treatment/

Don't hold a magnet next to Benz---I'd bet good money it would stick to him like glue.

I have 5 different sizes of skillets and a dutch oven. I use them everyday. Between those and my pellet grills I rarely use anything else. Maybe a stock pot or sauce pan. Got rid of my teflon pans. I think I would rather risk the iron that leeches into my food over the teflon. My wife and I have been doing Keto for quite a while, (did take a small break but back on it), so lots of goodness in the cast iron. #bacon!!
