Homemade chicken parmigiana with homemade fettuccini and home made sauce and homemade bread and homemade apple cake for us and we don't even celebrate Christmas.
Glen, instead of those honey balls change those out for some rum balls and we'll be right over.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 1077My area has been put into tier 4 lockdown to it means no houses can mix. Such a shame as we usually have a big get together.
Will will still have a traditional Christmas dinner of.
Roast Turkey
Roast Beef
"Pigs in blankets" chipotle wrapped in bacon
Roast potatoes
Veg
Stuffing
Yorkshire pudding
For dessert
Christmas pudding
Treacle tart
Mince pies
For drinks I usually start off with some English ales then red wine with dinner finishing with some port and a whiskey or two for good measure.

One of my daughter being vegan the options for Xmas dinner are limited. My wife decided to support the local Chinese restaurant that was hit hard by the corona crisis. They do a decent vegan main dish. The missus will be making vegan peanut soup for starters and I'll bake a vegan blueberry flaugnarde for afters.

Just me and the wife.
Doing steaks, (Ribeye or Porterhouse) on the barbie. I'll grill in a blizzard if I have to, wouldn't be the first time.
Baked potatoes
Corn
Homemade dinner rolls
Dutch apple pie, possibly Alamode
Pecan pie
Then a pillow and a comfy spot to vegetate in.Mike

Thanked: 56Just going to be the two of us, so plan is Red Menudo with some homemade French bread for sopping. Scary part, I am 0 for 2 in making edible menudo. My second attempt the flavors were on point, but I am on autopilot and the first thing I do when I open the lid is stir. But you have to skim the fat off the top periodically so I just ended up with all that stirred in. But, when I made beef broth the other week I just took the spoon away. So, I have complete confidence in myself.
Of course, if the confidence is misplaced we will have ham steaks, mashed potatoes, and green beans. And the French bread.
Also, planning a sourdough monkey bread for breakfast and dessert. Bringing in MikeB52s tradition. If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

Thanked: 56I forgot pictures, but I had my first menudo success. Maybe another time or two will be ready for the Master (mother in law) to taste and score.
