It depends where I am what the weather is like and what mood I'm in, but, I only drink two things other than beer when out so its still not that complicated. Gin and tonic with extra lime, or single malt on the rocks. That's it unless you're buying.

Now, the drink of choice just ends up being beer, belgian beer. It's odd because I never did enjoy beer, but these are just something else. And there are many to choose... However, beers (even these ones) tend to be a bit... long. :)
I have a sweet spot for my Irish Whiskeys, Bushmills in particular. If it's the mormal one, 2 rocks of ice; Black Bush, 1 rock or none (depending on the weather); the single malts I drink with nothing else - maybe a drop of cold mineral water.
I have a need for single malt scotch during those long nights when the "black dog" barks. I haven't had one of those lonely scotches in a while... :)
