Enjoying some Bigelow's English tea time black tea while acting like a complete video nerd and discussing old skool X-Box with Mick:p
I am rocking a teavana cast iron kettle. I like the cast iron because it evenly distributes the heat.. I also got a good deal on it as they were having a pretty good sale on everything where I was. I typically drink the oolongs and not only enjoy the flavor but the Heath effects too. It seems I lost ten pounds since I started drinking it. I'm sure there are other factors envolved and not just the tea but they do say it helps regulate metabolizim. It is something relaxing preparing the tea a lot like sr shaving I would imagine (still in research phase of sr reading all beginner post, thanks for the tips btw.)
But again like our shared hobbies that brought us together in the first place this is something I enjoy doing even though it takes a little longer in some ways it is very rewarding, at least to me. I am still trying new teas and hope to get a few other ideas on what to try on here as well. It is definately nice to have a place on the Internet to go to that seems to be open to sharing more than one pleasant thing in life.
Welcome to the world of Tea. :)
I'll have to agree that tea does aid in weight loss. I've been on a diet since July. Having not worked in some time, and not being able to get around as I would like, I was getting huge. I was already fat, but I was really packing it on. I was doing alright, down a couple pounds, then maybe up one the next week. Now, in the afternoons, when I get a bit hungry, instead of eating something, even something good for me, I'll have a cup or two of tea. My weight loss has evened out, not so many ups. I now have a pound loss per week average of 1.9 pounds. I'm not trying to say it's all due to the tea, but I know it helps. If it would make my cast stop itching so I could sleep, I'd be in hog heaven!!!
Carry on, and have a Happy and Healthy New Year!!!!! Don V
Sorry guys, I've been down and out for the last 30+ hours with the flu... I have discovered that any bad day at work beats the flu hands down...
