that is a sad tale to hear indeed:(
Haven't had much new tea to post recently. I'm waiting for one more shincha to become available and then my order should be shipped. Any time now I hope.
I think I'm going to order a packet of bancha shortly, as well; I wanted to order it with a some matcha but that's out of stock at the moment. There is an asamushi sencha shincha available now that wasn't before, too, so...maybe. Problem is that I'm spending so much money on tea!
To cut a long story short, though, I should have more tea to photo soon! Hooray!
Late afternoon tea for today, 2006 Mengku Pu-erh. Drove out to the river today and cut some fennel to make up some sopa de funcho. I'm pretty sure I got enough! LOL! I tend to get carried away when I pick this stuff, I think tomorrow I'll get some more to take to my Godmother.

Another sample, this one is a Dayi "Pu Zhi Wei" Ripe pu erh 2011 from Menghai.
Took some more tea and let it steep a wee bit longer this time.
Colour is dark like weak coffee, smooth and nice taste.
I really like the visual effect of these double walled glass cups.
Today the last of some Red - Da Yeh Oolong from Taiwan East Coast Summer 2011
from Tea Masters
Well my morning started with a pot of sadaf w/ cardamom. Never did sit down last night kinda felt the urge to sleep, might start some tonight. Don't know yet
Ok, as for the choice of tea with what I posted yesterday, well I went with....(wait for it).....royal Russian. Goes very nice with the orange shisha indeed
This morning I sampled a new tea:
Earl Grey Sencha

Distinctly astringent, slightly bitter, surprisingly lacking in the grassy or hay-like flavor that often
is a part of green teas, and more of the earthy qualities often found in pu'erh teas. Nice :)
i thought id follow with a Autumn Handmade Dong Ding Oolong Master Grade 2011 from some samples from Five Star Tea
a new supplier to me, based in Poland, oddly: Five Star Tea is online tea shop with special and very rare, oolong, pu erh, wuyi yan cha tea, green tea, yellow tea, white tea and aged tea .. seems excellent quality tho
so faster delivery to me [in UK] than from, say, TeaMasters, who is Taiwan-based Tea Masters and slightly trickier to order from
you email him for his current pricelist, i think hes very selective and has limited and quickly-changing stocks
well, i forgot to mention this. the other day, while drinking some royal russian, i had my daughter put a couple of teaspoons of maple syrup in it as a sweetener, and you know what, it wasnt half bad.
