I've been feelin' down lately, tons of crap going on. I thought a nice spot of tea might pick me up. I brewed up some peach black tea I have. I tend to forget about having it, but I'm glad I remembered it tonight. It's just what I needed. I think I'll follow loony's lead and brew some up for iced tea tomorrow. It's supposed to get up to 111 degrees here tomorrow, it will nice to have on hand. Since the tea has mellowed me a bit, I think I'll go for a nice pipe to round out my night. If you find yourself in some hot weather this week, be careful!

Thanked: 198don, while i dont know if i will see your temps out here on the east coast, i do feel for ya. i have a cousin out in palm springs area, and he is constantly b*#*ching about the temp in his area. now i dont want it here, it would make my job absolutely miserable, and the more i think about it, almost undoable.

Thanked: 1160Sitting down to some black tea with one of two new persian glasses I bought. These are okay. They look smaller, I measured and they hold 1/2 oz. less than the handled glasses. They also feel more delicate. Bought them from the same company where I got the handled glasses. I prefer the handled glasses, but these are okay too. You just have to slow down a bit more with these because of the hot rim sans handle.More of a contemplative vessle. However,I have read that when drinking tea in the persian lands, a fast drinker is frowned upon....makes sense I suppose. It's the Persian way of saying slow down ya move to fast,ya gotta make the mornin last(feeeelin grooooveee !) Glass is class. Bela........I did not mean to leave you out with the list of others. You are missed as well. I do hope you are feeling better ? After tea it's off to the grocery store for an early morning run. Busy day today. Weekends go fast. But they would be faster with no tea. Perish the thought !!

Thanked: 198this morning seeing how i have a quiet house with everyone asleep still, i am enjoying a pot of swan whilst i surf/goof on the computer. steph, things just dont seem to get any better at work, last oct. they changed my shift hours from 7-7 to 6-6, now that may not seem like much, but after working from 7-7 for many years the change threw me into a major loop. now when i finally get my sleep set for 6-6, they up and do a major change. now i get to work from 9-9, and that is pm-am. so im going to be so screwed for then next few months, sleep isnt going to be good.

i have had a really sore throat for a good few days now so i decided to look online for some homemade remedy recipes. i chose this one:-
i picked four young leaves from my blackcurrant bush mixed with a couple mint for flavour and brewed it up in a nice teapot.
wasnt very bitter at all, quite pleasant, bit weird after-taste but my throat is much better!Net.Wt.7oz
