Todays morning tea was some 2007 menghi pu erh from my trusty little giawan
This is why I love my Job. One of the younger residents where I work went to Turkey for a business trip. "Do ya want anything from there ?" He says. "yeah" I says..."Bring me back some black tea if ya would?" Now I gave him a coupla brand names ,Sadaf and Alokohzay. I tell him it ain't nuttin fancy just good black tea. So when He comes back I get two bags of nice black tea. Probably around 500-600 g. / 16-17 oz. That Tin I put it in was bought at Costplus world market and holds approx. 80 teabags(taking into account the teabag paper which takes up space) . I have no idea what type it is, but it has a nice clean black tea flavor with some nice tooth to it and an excellent color and brewed at 4 min, no tannic flavor. Yay ! I love tea..especially from Turkey ! Oh yea...I asked and he told me he went and got a real Turkish shave also..for those not familiar.. You Tube it. It's quite the treatment. That's what I do mate. I soak up knowledge. So I talked to the resident who so kindley brought back the tea for me. Still don't know what kind it is ,just going to assume it's Turkish from eastern Black sea like Wikipedia suggests . What I did find out however was that he got it at the open market in Istanbul which to me makes that very special.I would like to think that due to that fact alone that it is good quality. Sure as heck tastes delicious I'll say that .Quote:
