I took a tour of a coffee roasterie this summer here in the Midwest. The professional taster said that they stored all of their coffee in San Francisco until they needed it. Apparently SF has an optimal climate for coffee storage, which started with the Hills brothers.

Rinse out and garbage disposal, a breeze actually. Chamomile is the only one to prove tricky for me thus far.

I haven't posted in here for ages. I've got a couple of really good, inexpensive teas open at the moment, which I'll try to get pics of before I finish them.

Just bought a sencha and a matcha from a site that I don't often buy from, so it'll be nice to try some teas from elsewhere for a change!

Went to the Russian Market today and amongst all the goodies I picked up, I scored this lovely gem.Barooti Gulabi Tea in 17.6oz (500g) pack. $6.99 for the whole lot and boy is it good. It's a broken leaf Assam . Mmmm . Two Tblsp. tea leaves to approx. 1 qt. boiling water at two min and it's delicious.. Name: 002.jpg

I ended up getting a 2 liter of sour Kvas as I have a mind to make some Okroshka soup which the Kvas is used for as a base. It's a summer cold soup full of vegetables and meat. But it may not make it that long as I've already had four glasses lol .
