Went to another Russian Market today. This one was a little farther down the street from the one I went to last week. Much bigger selection of goodies all east European. Picked up some more tea. This was recommended by an elderly Russian lady who was in the aisle. Love it. It's a good full leaf Ceylon. I have gotten into the habit of making Russian style fruit tea using jam as a sweetener. It's very nice. I also have made the observation that a lot of the "Russian teas" are Indian teas made for the Persian palate which means they are not bitter after brewing at all. I don't know what they do to the tea to make it that way, but I have also heard Middle eastern reference to Persian tea being characteristic that way. I am getting quite fond of the Persian tea. Phil(Nosewarmer), thanks as you had a hand in that influence for sure. They had Amahd their as well as several others so I think I am now set for a good tea source. and Deli meat and Kvas and Rye bread, pickles,Smetana(sour cream), tinned fish, Pelmeni(Dumpling) and the list goes on......:chapeau Attachment 153464Attachment 153465
