Enjoying a pot of swan(alwazah) this morning as I work to get the house warmed up, when I get some cleaning done I must remember to take a picture of my new serving pot.

I went back to the Russian store last night for more goodies. On leaving, their happened to be a Balken grocery store across the street which sold the swan tea. I also realized that where I shop there is a large Middleastern population along with the Slavik. Many more stores tucked away where I was at. Aaaaand rumor has it that a new store may be opening soon which will deal in tea glasses gifts and maybe samovars and such. This could get very interesting .
I don't know how the Mods handle posts left after one of our brothers passes on but, to all on the Tea thread here, remember our friend Bela ,he was great to have around. To BELA' A.K.A. FONTHUNTER ,REST IN PEACE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVOU_QtJ9D4
That was sad news. May he rest in peace.
Sad news, indeed. I didn't know him as well as some of you but he always seemed a very nice, genuine guy. He will be missed, I'm sure.
Condolences to his friends and family.
We just celebrated lunar new year here in Mongolia and that means a lot of food and drinks, this is from a friends place.

The drinks are from left to right: fermented mare's milk, salt milk tea, green tea, vodka and home made sea buck thorn juice.
The meat is a boiled sheep back. If one wants to make the tea yummier one put some meat in it. If there's some clotted cream to put in as well it is perfect.Attachment 155257
Wait just a sec...put meat in your tea to make it tastier? That sounds crazy!
However, that vodka-based drink sounds exciting!
