Thanks. The set belongs to my wife and I don't think it had ever been used. The pot holds about two cups of water.

I agree with this. Also, in a world of high tech gadgets that do everything and anything, a low tech item like this kind of tea pot (or a SR) is a welcome grounding element that slows you down and makes you focus on something simple. And it fits my personal philosophy of enjoying every day luxury - finding things that you can enjoy every day that require very little resources yet deliver a luxurious experience. We don't have to be millionaires to enjoy a good cup of tea or a great shave. That's living every day luxury.

Pretty darn good. To me it's a medium flavored tea with some malt to it. It really reminds me of the golden colored Assam I once had and am trying to find again.
This cup was even better since the house was quiet and I could sit and savor the experience.

I'm glad to hear it was well received and you had the environment to fully appreciate it. I'm already thinking about what tea I'll drink tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

Oh that's cool. Wouldn't THAT cause some comments from the ladies in the office... I find a lady appreciates a man with a nice tea cup and tea pot... I think it's one of the most unknown pickup options...
