I gave lapsang souchong another chance today. I stopped by a local tea shop on the way to my car from the university today, and found a tea blend called Russian Caravan. (Admittedly, I was looking for a totally different type of tea, which I didn't find.) It had the smoked lapsang souchong, but it was blended with some non-smoked Ceylon tea, and some third tea which I don't remember. (Assam, maybe?)

It was fairly smoky, but it didn't beat me over the head with it and give me that burnt-tires taste that I got from the David's Tea lapsang. I actually quite enjoyed it. I can definitely see myself coming back and picking some more up. Shame I only found this tea
now when winter looks to be finally packing its bags and leaving...
