I'm curious as to why she'd put drinking-grade matcha on her face... Sounds expensive!
In any case, at least you have some drinkable matcha and no, it's not like sencha.
I will certainly drop by Pan De Vie for some cake next time!

She should find separate matcha for facing and drinking.
Not only is it a waste of money to put good quality matcha on your face but equally it's such a shame to see expensive tea wasted like that!
You can get crap matcha from a crap supplier for like health food malarkey but try looking at Matabay.

Their website seems a bit weird but I've purchased from them and their tea is very good. I think I bought their usucha premium or super premium and was impressed.
They have matcha ranging from their highest grade, thick tea, ceremonial style at $95 for 40g all the way down to their lowest culinary grade at $25 for a big 200g packet, which will be ideal for face masks, I guess. And making cake...
Whatever you do, do not spend $95 on tea to make face masks 🤢
We had some fun tea today. We had a couple of the "blooming" jasmine teas. They are carefully hand tied and made to open and bloom in the water, fun and beautiful to see. A bit of a novelty but tasted very good, sweet flavor and flowery aroma. The blue one was a bit broken in the package, that's why the bloom looks uneven. It had a short, round bloom and the other pink one had a long, tall shape.

My G/F works for the East India Company so I get all the tea I can drink for free :)
The mask this is just some thing she wants to try..
Had a cup of the Matcha tonight. The first sip was bitter, maybe I didn't use enough water?
It tasted a little better with milk maybe I should have added sugar too..
For me personally I am addicted to white tea and appreciate every sip . Infact I am about to make a bed time cup of Silver Dawn.. The finest silver needle tea mixed with saffron .. I will add some pictures tomorrow..
Cheers.. goodnight folks..
At work enjoying some tea I just got in the mail. It's Republic of tea brand,a brand more and more I am liking. They have lot's of different high quality tea blends including Pu,er for those that are into it. This one is a peach blossom Oolong.

Mysterious Green Tea today
I broke yesterday my Gaiwan and I am forced to brew the western way. This must be the fifth Gaiwan I break.
I bought this tea a couple of years ago in a business trip to St Petersburg, Russia. I still remember that beautiful, classy little teashop in Nievsky Prospekt. Unfortunately, I do not remember what this tea was. Even if I still have the label, I cannot read his calligraphic Cyrillic. If somebody could help me to read this label, I would be grateful!
