Well, they are ceramic and they break easily if they fall.
They are made to hold with one hand and sometimes they are slippery. When brewing with boiling water (>90 Celsius) they get really hot and are difficult to hold. However, Gongfu brewing with a Gaiwan is my preferred method of tea brewing and I will order a couple of Gaiwans more.

Regarding Russia, I really love this country. The people, the culture, the cities and even the weather. Here in Athens, 14th May today and the temperature is 32 Celsius. I am afraid this summer we will see often temperatures over 40 degrees I hope to survive

Personally I don't do well past 70 degrees.....I'm not a sun worshiper. Good Scottish weather is what I like. Shorts and a sweater with boots and I'm ready to go !

The mask this is just some thing she wants to try..

Had a cup of the Matcha tonight. The first sip was bitter, maybe I didn't use enough water?
It tasted a little better with milk maybe I should have added sugar too..

For me personally I am addicted to white tea and appreciate every sip . Infact I am about to make a bed time cup of Silver Dawn.. The finest silver needle tea mixed with saffron .. I will add some pictures tomorrow..
    Cheers.. goodnight folks..
    Well that's a good deal!

Your volume is probably fine. Next time, try slightly cooler water and/or more whisking. Ideally use a proper chasen but a fine whisk should be ok—nice and vigorous W motions. Don't use a spoon because it won't work.

I avoided adding milk for years because I hated the idea. Then I tried one day and rather enjoyed it. Obviously this changes the style of drink but you can enjoy it however you like. I still wouldn't advocate adding sugar though!

I've had about 10 cups of this already, and I'm really enjoying it. Wish it had a bit stronger taste though, and maybe if I could have found the loose leaf version, I could add more. All I could find on Amazon was the pre bagged stuff. Even after a 7 min steep it's still pretty mild. Nonetheless, really enjoying this one. Thanks Nightblade for the recommendation.

Go directly to the website, your better off buying from there. You can add more but it's meant to be light. If you want hefty tea, then you need to go to black teas and primarily English blends as they are maltier and more coffee like. That being said I do two bags of tea (any kind) per pot assuming it's about a 4-6 cup pot, and no more than 5 minutes. If you go longer you take the risk of getting bitter tea with Oolong being kind of the exception. Mild or not,it would seem you're clearly enjoying it after ten cups and Oolong is goooood for you. Cheers man !

And I just noticed you're brewing in the cup. You might want to get yourself a chinese brewmug(can be found on ROT's website I believe. Has a lid so you can retain heat and get a better brew. I always stress that tea should ideally be brewed in the pot...but that's just me being partial.

Something else I wanted to point out about Oolongs, they can go from light to dark so, don't let one represent all as they can definitely vary. That's the thing about Oolongs, because they reside in the world between green and Black I think they have much more diversity in color and flavor

    Silver Dawn. White Tea
Highest quality silver needle with saffron.

It is really special this one only equalled by the knotted tea..

The little green cup was just a test. It doesn't work with white tea , only with green tea.
