I find I can't use tea fast enough, so it's a shame when I buy something expensive and I've still got half the packet weeks later after it's past its best or I've gotten bored of it...
I think more tea, sencha at least, should be offered in 50g bags.

If you like fukamushi sencha, try chiran sencha. I've always seen it talked about as being popular. It's low to mid range in terms of cost but I eventually bought some and really liked it. Great flavour and very good value. Bought a shincha version along with the yutaka midori.

I'm drinking a blended black tea this afternoon. The blend is called Churchill and it has citrus and smoke flavors.

I had this tea today. It was very nice. There was a distinct citrus, almost grapefruit thing going on. Very nice.

It's THE time of the year when young nettles get tall enough to get picked. So i picked few from the garden and we got the first tea of the year, made of fresh nettles.
Actually i'm not sure if it's tea or just some drink made of herbs but it's fresh, healthy and delicious anyways.
Nettle is a traditional multi-purpose herb. It has uses in drinks, foods, medicine, gardening etc etc. As is or mixed with other herbs. Only remember to use gloves when touching fresh nettles.

I know what nettles are but I have never used them. They're sort of foreign to me I guess ?? Love the tea glasses. I'll have to look up nettles and see what I can learn. Cheers "T"

They are so common plants that some see them as a trouble. Picking is free here. But if you are about to do it, remember to use gloves and do not pick those that grow on the roadsides.

Nettles are great. I have a pinch of dried ground nettles on my yoghurt almost every day. And a co-worker of mine makes pesto on nettles. Great stuff.

Haha Nightblade, lingon and hjortron jam on Amazon, the world is truly shrinking. Last year was a bad year for cloud berries here in Sweden(but great for blue berries). Hope this year will be better.

Nice pics as always Sailor. My parents used to have tea glasses like that in the 70s and 80s. Is it iittala?
