Cheers to the all-nighter's! Also, the New Amsterdam isnt necissarly a bad gin, i mean i usually pick up a Seagrams with lime, because sometimes i'm just to cheap to buy and cut a lime. So, if that isnt lazy...not sure what is :P

They discontinued one of my favorites. Tanqueray Malacca gin. It was a nice departure from other gins but now gone forever. A moment of silence please.
To be honest, I haven't made a study of the nuances of gin tasting. This one is particular in that it contains the essence of rose hip and, more obvious to me, cucumber.
I use Schweppes tonic and instead of a lime, a cucumber slice. It's a heavenly addition to the usual botanicals.
Stirrings makes a tonic that seems a step above from my knowledge of their other products, but I haven't tried it.

I would have never really expected rose hip and cucumber. It's definitely worth a try regardless, and thanks for the tip about a cucumber slice in the gin and tonic. Where do you find the Stirrings Tonic Water? I've also heard of a Tonic Water from MA that doesnt use high fructose corn syrup... id like to give that a try too. Every time i think about this, it make me want to sit out on in the front of my house, have a drink and smoke a Vintage "92" Rocky Patel cigar.... i think i just may. lol
Up here in Atlanta, we can find stirrings in some of the area package stores. They make a lot of mixers and they bottle soda, tonic, and ginger ale. I have only ever tried the margarita mix that they make, but it was pretty good.

HA, i went to the liquor store the othe day and asked my roommate if he wanted me to pick anything up. I came back with a bottle of bombay saphire for me, him on the other hand a bit cheaper. He hands me a $5 bill and asks for the cheapest gin I can find. Needless to say, he ended up with a $2.75 pint of aristocrat gin in a beautiful plastic bottle.
