Kimchee....yes please. Also see you are into baking with fresh starter there maybe ???
The wife always has a Starter going, bakes alot of bread.
While no pic of it(disappeared too fast:) ), last night I had cajun catfish with deep fried sweet potatoes and fresh sourdough bread. Great stuff.
You want bread? :) We've got a bread thread.
We even have a Sandwich thread. :)
Is a way to have the best food products on the cheap in tough economic times.
Using the lost arts (such as this site is all about) is sadley something todays generation will never know about.
Canning, cheese making, meat preservation, gardening, breadmaking are the most enjoyable pastimes a person can do.
I also love makin bacon:)

Living in the land of fruits and Knutz can at times be a drag, but kali also has some really good foodstuffs,Wine, Dungeness crab, fresh caught Salmon, and ARTICHOKES the best of the best.
Being that the inland temps here in Sillycone Valley were headed to about 100, the wife and I took a run to the coast (maybe an hr away) first stop, castroville, the artichoke capital of the world (a nice 68 degs at noon)
So we bought some jumbo chokes for cooking (5 for a buck, cut this morning) bought 40 minis for 5 bux, peel them, trim, blanch them in boiling water for 6 mins, take the smallest ones, some olive oil.some tarragon viniger, some spices, pickle them for about a week, the rest, flash freeze, batter them up, fry them in oil.
As crazy as kali is,we got good food products:)
