Pickles are exactly the same.
While Swiss/French/Italian blue cheese is bit expensive and maybe suitable for different occasions. We use local blue cheese, Aura cheese that is very popular and cheap as dirt. However, not all use it. It sort of love it or hate it.

I wish that I lived where Blue cheese was as cheap as dirt! This is the closest place they make Blue cheese that I know of to me.
