Had some pork. SLiced potatoes with lot of cream & blue cheese. Red wine, 'Santiago 1541'.

Couldn't agree with you more, Nightblade. My fiancée and I just bought our first house recently and then hosted my parents for the first time for Christmas and I did all the cooking. The gifts we exchanged were thoughtful, but few. What was far more appreciated by all four of us was the food, and I was more gratified by cooking good, memorable meals for my family (I roasted two 3 pound chickens, one with an ancho chili rub and one with a traditional rosemary-sage-thyme-garlic-lemon-pepper prep) than I was by giving them gifts. Very glad to hear that you and yours had a merry Christmas and that food played a part in that. :)
A simple, yet tasty, repast from last night: Black eyed peas with some sliced Jalapenos and cornbread.

Between my grandson wiggling and the new program my wife uploaded this is the best I got.
Baked Sunfish, scalloped potatoes and corn.
He is not use to eating at our house and would go hungry for a week or so!:rofl2:
