I've had several of the glenrothes whisky and I've gotta say my personal favourite is the new robur. The vintage 2001 is nice but not to have a whole bottle. If you have the funds the 95 is great.. The 98 and select reserve are the lesser ones imo.

I'm still torn between 95 or 98.
98 sounds really nice but most reviews rate the 95 as better. I think I'll take your advice.
I'm a very occasional drinker but much prefer Irish to Scots - I'm just enjoying Bushmills 16 year old. It was bought after a trip round the distillery - if ever an experience made you think you chose the wrong profession, this was one of them.
edit, I re-read the first line after I posted - it should have included the words 'of whisky' after 'drinker'.
Tonight's dram was Glenmorangie Lasanta. Nice but Not on my to buy list.
Something from Speyside this evening:)

Lagavulin has ruined every other scotch for me.
I want to try the distiller's edition
Enjoying a dram (more like three or four fingers) of John Jameson. It's been an overcast day here and the general look and feel is very British Isles. I figured Jameson would be just what the doctor ordered (for medicinal purposes, you understand)

A nice afternoon drink if you don't plan on doing anything with your evening but more of the same..
Smokey, oaky, tasty..
Cheers.
