My experience has always been that you can never go wrong with Highland Park! Great choice.

Finished my bottle of Yamazaki 12 the other night. Sad to see it go, but a great dram.

Picked up a huge brandy snifter in my travels. I'm not big on brandy but the glass seems to work just as well for a few fingers of Makers Mark on the rocks. One of my favorite modern country tunes for 1) Tip of the hat to GIs 2) Zach Brown clearly a southerner who espouses a simple lifestyle 3) Zach drives a killer International truck 4) Cameo appearance by R Lee Ermie (Semper Fi Ladies!)

Arsenal, I thought the Laphroaig was very good. Salt and smoke with a bit of iodine.
The Oban was nice. To me it was similar to Glenmorangie 10 yr which is a good thing.
I like the approach, and might have to try that sometime. Thanks for the tip.
I am working on a few other bottles at the moment as well, trying to empty them. Was on a trip about a month ago and ended up with 6 new ones. Currently resisting opening them until I finish some of these. Have Amrut Fusion and Glenkinchie 12 on the way down.
a good splash of rye - bulleit :)
I had this, as well as a good number of other malts, in the oldest pub in Edinburgh last week.
