I really enjoyed the 105. I'll have to try another of the glenfarclas expressions soon!
My current list of bottles to buy is longer than my arm, that's the only trouble.

Much mellower. The younger Laphroigs are to me like drinking a glass of smoke. This had barely any, but there was a very medicinal taste, Iodine-ish. Also, something that I can only describe as tasting like tree bark. It's different but good, if you are tasting any others, be sure to leave this one till last.
Been away for a bit, but this is what I enjoyed over the holidays - Woodford Reserve Classic Malt. A Scotch-like offering from a bourbon distillery. Rather enjoyable.

I was gifted this very fine bottle of Colorado TinCup today by stove (Kevin), a Denver member on SRP.
What a lovely gesture, and what a fine dram!

Anyone know anything about the Glenfarclas 12 year old. I can't seem to find it in many places and haven't seen any decent tasting notes for it.
Waitrose has is on offer at £32. Is it worth picking up a bottle?
My other options are a'bunadh for £35, a full price benromach something-or-other for £41, or a caol isla for the same (different, I know, but I'd like one none the less). Trying not to spend too much but thinking about value for money...
