Thanks, I'll look out for it. I think I saw a bottle in the local Vinmonopolet last week, so might get to try it soon if no one else took it.

I'm quite excited about this, though I'm not sure when I'll open it. I may tuck it away because I have a fair few bottles open at the moment...or I'll change my mind by the weekend!

Not a Scotch but Having a nice Elizabeth VSOP cognac. Very buttery smooth.
Just what I needed after the day I've had
Work happy hour today and i ordered a balvenie 15. The only thing better than scotch is free scotch! Very good stuff though, would definitely spring for a bottle of my own
The highland park is now open. It had a bit of a kick at first but I went back a week later and it had softened nicely. Add plenty of water and it's very good. I'd have to have some in front of me to really provide anything more detailed.
This is the first Gordon & MacPhail bottling I've tried but would definitely buy others. I'm starting to keep my eye out for the more affordable indie bottlings, purely because they're totally different expressions that you just can't get if you stick to official bottlings only. Would be a shame to miss out on that!
To be fair, this wasn't exactly cheap but you don't often see even official highland parks at decent prices, aside from the 12 year old, so I had to grab one!
I've been having a look on the norwegian alcohol shop website and they have a couple of Gordon & Macphail offerings. They have a cask strength Highland Park from 2003 that's affordable, but the rest are quite pricey, up to about £450! I haven't tried any indie bottlings, but I've got a couple of small bottles from Hunter Laing that I haven't opened yet. Both presents from my sister, both old malt cask. I think one's a Ledaig and one's Caol Ila.
