The 46 is a sherry finish, is it not? Technically, not Bourbon?

We age Maker's 46® a bit longer inside barrels containing seared French oak staves. The staves create bolder, more complex flavors – while eliminating the bitterness that usually comes with whiskies that are aged longer.
Thats just freaking great, sometging else I HAVE to try!
Glenmorangie Nectar D'Òr, from a gift pack assortment my wife gave me for father's day.
Morning men.
And personally, I can taste the oaky notes in the 46 compared to Makers or the Woodford reserve.
It is smooth on the tongue whil still having some heat like a higher octane bourbon.
Qualifier: I have it with ice.
Neat, you get all the heat and more barrel flavour.
I just like my drinks cold.
;)
Into the Blanton's last night.

At a friend's playing cards, had some Ardmore, and some Johnny Walker Black. Great night.

Glenroads 1985. My sons birthday was yesterday and he pulled out a bottle that only comes out for those special times. Although I'm not really a scotch drinker, it was pretty darn tasty! Probably wasted on a non scotch drinker like me but, I did enjoy it!
