I just searched on the vinmonopolet website and we don't seem to have it in Norway. Any other rye recommendations?

We don't have Lot 40 or James E Pepper here, but it looks like woodford reserve is available here. I'll give it a try one day.
I was drinking bells yesterday as part of a series I'm doing on cheap blended whiskies. My notes include things like stagnant pond, wet cardboard and burning plastic, but in all fairness the nose has much more to it than I was expecting. Spoiler alert: I won't be buying it again.
I purchased this a few months ago, I decided to try it on a whim, turned out pretty smooth and not too shabby for the price.
I concur, TC Rides turned me onto it and I just finished another bottle. Really hard to beat, but I am not an expert. If there is anything better for the price in a whisky/bourbon I am game! I can't drink carbonated any more and am trying to learn a new "drink". So far, I have yet to find a better whisky/bourbon (for me) than Woodford Reserve on the rocks.Quote:

What I get on the nose is a ton of Rye bread, and I mean good rye bread. Makes me want a corn beef sandwich! Very light on the mouth, sweet and spicy, but young. If it had another few years I think this would be exceptional. You can taste all of the 43%. Maybe some air oxidation might help this one.
