Laying off for a bit as I seriously overindulged in Makers Mark mint juleps over the Memorial Day weekend. (Note to self: mint syrup+brown liquor=hangover fuel).

Cheers to the weekend!
Got the BBQ fired up ready to throw on some Mild Italian Sausage. Enjoying some Ardbeg 10 on the new back patio. Still working on a few things back there but it's now usable.

I really need to try Ardbeg.
A little more Peaty and smokey than the other Islay's.

I believe if you check the PPM of the Peat smoke, this is higher than Laphroaig 10. I've only ever tasted Laphroaig 10 once, and it was a while ago. It was Peaty alright, but I wouldn't be able to compare.

Yeah, I have read Ardbeg is the smokiest of the Isaly whiskeys. I was just kidding around. I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks. I need to see if there are any watering holes that have a Scotch selection.
I have a funny to share...some of my camping gear is going to Scotland this summer without me. I loaned some gear to a friend that is going to ramble around the Highlands and tour the Speyside distilleries. I'm pretty jealous.
Don't forget that Octomore is around 120 ppm, and I think Ardbeg is 55. Octomore is king of peat smoke.

I've heard great things about the Octomore.
Master of Malt sells one called The Big Peat, aslo. I think it's a seasonal bottling.
