I've had both. I would recommend the Edradour over the Deanston. You know how you remember drams that are unimpressive to you? Deanston is that for me.

Russell's Reserve Rye, first in a Manhattan and then on the rocks.
Opened a bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail last night so I could drink the same whisky as the old friend i was skyping with. Very nice indeed.
Missed the first bit of the Jays spanking butt. Just sat down to finish watching with a dram of Lag 8.

Good ol' Evan Williams black label tonight before Upslope Craft Lager and brats. We'll see what's next...after I digest a bit...
My wife picked up this bottle on sale, which I tried last night. Not sure what I think yet.

I have a friend who just picked up the Ardmore Legacy. He loves it, I still need to try some.

Bought an edradour 10 and also a bottle of worthy park (?) Jamaican rum (Hunter Laing bottling - 10 yo cask strength)
Also picked up a bottle of lagavulin 8 yo for fathers' day.
Spending too much...
How's the rum? I keep thinking about rum and a friend of mine is getting into it, but then I always buy whisky instead.
No idea—it's not here yet!
I started off buying a bottle every now and again to keep things different but I've since been enjoying it a lot.
Pick yourself up a bottle of el dorado 12 year old. If you fancy stretching to the 15 year old, it's even better—you won't be disappointed.
Hunter Laing's Kill Devil bottlings appear to be very good. All cask strength rums from specific distilleries but they do range from about £47 upwards and some look pretty expensive.
