Thread: Scotch/whiskey of the day

The Templeton rye is very nice neat, though I have a hard time finding it out in Oregon in our state liquor stores. The Knob creek mentioned above is nice, the Bulleit Rye is not as good (I use in old fashioneds). I havent spotted the better aged Sazerac Rye, but I have heard they are a good baseline to measure against.

Minnebrew: what do you mean by workup? Not sure if you mean selections of particular whiskey, tasting methodology or formal courses. Knowledge of beer tasting probably puts you pretty far down the road regardless since there is so much overlap.
