About to dump some of this into the automatic coffee maker...whole beans and ready for a cup of the worlds now second strongest coffee...660mg of caffeine per 12oz cup....Black Insomnia has taken over at 700mg or something...they say about 25 times stronger than a Starbucks Venti Dark Roast...so much for sleep the next week.

Haven't tried it yet..although the sticker does look good on my machine...was just reading about a women who drank it like normal coffee, had a full blown panic attack, stopped drinking coffee altogether for awhile after drinking this stuff...said she then went 8 days with no sleep.
Wow...
I bought Deathwish Coffee off of Amazon after a friend told me about it. The advertising said it was organic and Fair trade, so I thought, "how bad could it be?" I drank it for three weeks and then I had my first ever full blown panic attack. I have never been sick, never taken a prescription pill and I don't even have a doctor. I put the connection together it was from the coffee, so I quit cold turkey. I went 8 full days with absolutely no sleep. After day 4, I went to emergency to get something to sleep and had another panic attack. They Pink slipped me, where they said they were required to seperate me from my husband and take me to a psych ward where I was in a room with twelve people who were having serious mental issues. It's been a month and I have still not slept more than 4 hours, but it's usually just 2 hours a night. It has ruined my life and I am trying to get my life pulled back together. Please stay away from this coffee. -Lis Roebuck
Sticking with my French Roast for now...ordered the Death Wish because Amazon Canada had it, and it was shiny and new, but this was the stuff I wanted to try...looks like it will be fantastic....SDC French Roast.

@Phrank -- I figured you knew what you were getting into just thought you might find the quote humorous. Robusta beans contain more caffeine than Arabica, but they tend to not taste as delicious. That skull and bones sticker rocks indeed!
I had been under the misconception that espresso had more caffeine, but that's not the case. Evidently, m Aeropress has more caffeine per cup. I usually have 2 cups in the morning then cut myself off the rest of the day.
French Roast looking good with some nice crema atop your cup! I'm savoring my 2nd cup right about now.Last edited by Speedster; 04-01-2017 at 05:11 PM. Reason: Corrected thought

Thanked: 4206Enjoy both those dark delicacies Phrank. Let us know your thoughts on the Death wish jolt.
I enjoy the DW in the French press more than the auto brew unit personally. It's a wee bit oilier bean due to the roast and blend I think. And the press just squeezes it out nicely.
Daughter brought home some of this and it's got a nice mellow earthy taste going on that the saeco has no issue packing up nicely. A nice change from the staple lavazza in the brewer.

Aldi £1.49 blend does for me at the moment. Not the best by a long chalk but it won't keep you up for a month. That said, I work with a Canadian chap who makes coffee so strong you need a knife and fork to eat it, he's great to have around on a late or night shift 🖒

Thanked: 59Two words, "Tanzanian Peaberry" by our own Glenn1949, yes he is a master roaster in my opinion. After having just a sip of his coffee I quickly realized that I have been drinking hot dishwater for the last 36 years. I drink the better part of a pot through my Melitta in the morning and then sometimes I'll have a dozen or so more ounces in the evening to wind down through my press of the very convincing Tanzanian Peaberry. Glenn also has several other blends that are just as exciting. Oh, and my Capresso Infinity concical burr grinder has been working flawlessly every day for the last 3+ years. When it breaks I will be buying another.
