    I dont think they need to be cleaned every shave. I usually wipe the blades and scales down with tissue and get some tissue in between the scales as well. I also strop after the shave as well to clean any micro gunk off the edge.

    That, combined with taking care not to get the pivot area wet, basically keeps everything in good nick.
