Ok, I was ignoring my own thread because it didn't seem to get much traction the first go around. Myrsol has recently become available at a local store near my work. I picked up the Formula F extra. It's a good substitute for Floid Vigoroso. But my favorite is still the lemon. Clean, crisp wears off quick....it good any day.

Wow. That's great you can get it locally. Are you in Europe? I know Smallflower and Bullgoose Shaving have it in the States. No one in Aus stocks it so I've had to source it via Spain itself. (It originates from Barcelona, Spain.)

Apparently Formula F/Extra had less alcohol content than Vigoroso but a stronger scent than Suave. I'll find out in a couple of weeks...

I've heard that the Lemon is lovely and crisp but - as you said - the scent doesn't hang around. Is it nice for the skin? A lot of the Myrsol products greatly aid the skin. I've found the Agua Balsamica really soothes and heals my skin. Such a great post-shave product! It's highly under-rated (or more likely unknown) IMHO.

Also, formula K is a serious blast of mint and menthol. A really refreshing splash in warm weather or anytime your vibe needs a pick me up.

Apparently the Agua Balsamica has no menthol... (See here for an ingredients chart.)
But I agree from your initial post that it has a refreshing feel to it...

I have the Agua Balsmaica. I like it enough but there is an ingredient (thyme I think) that is slightly irritant to my skin. After I use it, it's not as refreshing as I'd like and leaves me a tad uneasy. I hate that since I really enjoy the scent. It's not terribly irritant like Truefitt and Hills Trafalgar (a problem I have with the fragrance and my skin) but it doesn't help after a shave so much. But everyone's face is different.

Yes I am in the states and Smallflower is my local source for it. The lemon is great because there are some scents that ate great going on but you don't want to smell strongly of all day. Lemon is one of them. It smells nice but it's not a cologne. Try them out and let me know what you think.

I've heard that it's like cherry cough syrup as its meant to be reminiscent of the 'plastic scented' after shaves of the 1970's.
