    If you can find the recent invention thread, started by a feller who wanted magnetic rings, pixelfixed has an invention in there which is a razor in a vice grip, look at the blade, at the end of last year he smeared alum on it, it is now corroded and showing signs of pitting.

    Yea, that just may do the trick. Looked a bit more too and I think what goes on with alum and steel blades is technically bi metal corrosion http://www.roymech.co.uk/Useful_Tabl...or_bi_met.html.
