LOL, you are quite right that using booze could actually be quite a bit cheaper than aftershave.

For instance, take Clubman, Pinaud which can be found for $6 for a 6 ounce container. The price per ounce would be $1.

A 1.75L (a handle) container of alcohol contains 59.17 ounces. So to fill the 1.75L contained with Clubman Pinaud would cost $59.17.

Were I live, I can purchase a handle of Johnny Walker Red for $29, Black for $53, Tanqueray for $30, and Mount Gay Rum for $32. Heck, it would only cost only a little more ($62 for Glenlivet 12 year) to use a single malt scotch than the Pinaud as an aftershave.

Yep. Where I live, Tanqueray is roughly twice the price of Aqua Velva (per litre). But Proraso is between 4 and 5 times the price of Tanqueray (per litre).
