Shallard I just learned something. I did not know the alum on your fingers trick. I wonder if it works on your feet? Now I can do one of those Kung Fu white crane maneuvers washing one foot at a time with no fear of ice skating to my death in the shower. I am going to blame you if I have to get stitches in the back of my head. lol Just kidding !
The super glue is toxic to burn, but it is great for practical jokes I recommend keeping a lot of it on hand !

I have never owned or used a styptic pen or alum block an that has worked just fine. It might be nice to have but you don't need any of those. I have never had any problems being without it. When I get the occasional minor cut they stop bleeding after a little while without aid from the styptic pen or alum block.
