I do a light rinse with hot water, towel off. Then, I grab some Aqua-Velva so I can intensify the burn.

Thanked: 220OP:
Interesting. I personally just rinse with cold water after shaving, simply because it feels better than warm water.

I have a small barbecue in the shave den and a little refrigerator. After shaving, I rinse with whatever water is coming out of the tap, which I follow up with some ribs and ice cold beer.

I use a microwaved towel over lather as a pre-shave.
Really have to pay attention - can be hot enough to burn you.My father was an engineer. He used to tell me that sharpening a straight razor is like trying to build a ladder to the moon out of a roll of aluminum foil.

Yepp! Forget the microwave, this sounds like the way to go! I'll install them on the few areas in my shave den that isn't crammed with shaving products and gear. And if there isn't any room left for my shaving gear in the bathroom, Ill just set up a mirror in the kitchen and shave over the sink... Gotta love the bachelor life!

Thanked: 4I wipe excess lather off with a hot washcloth and I follow that with a full fledged rinse with a cold washcloth. Nothing special but it feels good afterwards.
I then follow up with Nivea for Men post shave balm.

Thanked: 3I shave and rinse with cold water. On the rare occasion I use hot water during my shave I still rinse my face with cold. Just feels better than hot, but I frequently have cold showers as well. It's a real pick me up!
