I wipe excess lather off with a hot washcloth and I follow that with a full fledged rinse with a cold washcloth. Nothing special but it feels good afterwards.

I then follow up with Nivea for Men post shave balm.

I shave and rinse with cold water. On the rare occasion I use hot water during my shave I still rinse my face with cold. Just feels better than hot, but I frequently have cold showers as well. It's a real pick me up!

    a simple approach....

Martin de Candre Soap: Wipe off excess lather, Thayer's, AS

All other soaps/creams: Rinse with room temp water, pat dry, Thayer's, AS

I do let the Thayer's dry before applying AS

I'm not man enough to take cold showers but I am a cold water shaver. I rinse the soap off of my face when I'm finished with warm water.

Straight razor shaver and loving it!
