    Hmm.. I have not heard of this method before. I always rinsed right after the shave with a nice, refreshing splash of cold water. However, I am now interested and just might try it out...

    I've never used hot towels, always a hot rinse immediately after shaving, then alum and a ice cold rinse and a/s or a/s balm to finish.

    I rinse off my face with a hot wash cloth, then a cold wash cloth. Alum block, witch hazel then AS.
