    Default Witch hazel

Is witch hazel a valid option for an aftershave splash?

We can splash if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
    Cause your friends don't splash
    And if they don't splash
Well they're no friends of mine
Say, we can splash where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we splashed out of this world
Because you're splash is far behind

    We can splash

We can go where we want to
The night is young and so am i
And we can dress real neat
From out hats to our feet
Then surprise them with a big splash tide
Say, we can splash if we want to
    If we don't, nobody will
And you can act real rude
    And totally removed
And i can act like a splashing imbecile

    Say, we can splash
    We can splash
    Everything's outta control

    We can splash
    We can splash
We're doing it more and more
    We can splash
    We can splash
    Everybody look at your hands
    We can splash
    We can splash
    Everybody's taking the cha-nce
    It's safe to splash
Oh well, it's safe to splash
    Yes, it's safe to splash

We can splash if we want to
We've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it
    Never gonna lose it
    Everything will work out right
I say, we can splash if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
    Because your friends don't splash
    And if they don't splash
Well they're no friends of mine

    I say, we can splash
    We can splash
    Everything's outta control
    We can splash
    We can splash
We're doing it more and more
    We can splash
    We can splash
    Everybody look at your hands
    We can splash
    We can splash
    Everybody's taking the cha-ance
    Well, it's safe to splash
    Yes, it's safe to splash
    Well, it's safe to splash
Oh well, it's safe to splash
Ah yes, it's safe to splash
    Well, it's safe to splash
    It's safe to splash
    It's safe to splash

Is witch hazel mild enough to be my only post shave item or would suggest that I use a balm in addition to it.

It really depends on your skin. Do you have problems with alcohol based splashes?

Thayers makes it in alcohol and alcohol free.

I use Dickinson's daily after I shave. I let is sit while I clean up, then splash cold water to rinse. Currently, I do not use any scented aftershave when finished. I just use cologne.
You could go to a balm or milk afterwards, depending on your skin and the weather.

"Splash is the noun form of the verb, "splash" and is defined as the act of splashing.

"Shave" is he noun form of the verb, "shave" and is defined as the act of shaving or an incident of shaving.

"Noun" is the noun form of the noun, "noun".

    Oops, scratch that last one.

    Default Witchhazel

    Hello, Zaph,

I recommend Thayer's Super Medicated Witch Hazel with Aloe.

You may "splash" it on (a good action verb) or use it as a "splash" (a fragrant noun popular today with perfumes and post-shave products).

Either way, it is a good post-shave product.

    Regards,

    Obie

Even if it was acceptable as a noun in the way you mention, I would not use the adjective "fragrant"; effete would be a better choice.
