Thanked: 1I use Proraso cream aftershave. I have sensitive skin and am prone to breakouts. No sting, no breakouts, no razorburn.
Love the stuff.

Thanked: 3Hi. I guess it depends on your skin type and technique used. Myself, I've been shaving my head since I was 15 iirc. I always use a Gillette with 5 blades and post shave I use nothing except a shower/shampoo/bodywash that's it. Never had a problem. I can say I'm a pro at shaving my own head - no cuts, zero irritation, shampoo doesn't sting at all afterwards. Scalp is as clean and shiny as a mirror
My technique:
- Wash my scalp with warm water and soap, rinse, apply Nivea shaving cream and shave in front of a mirror. For the back of my head I hold a smaller mirror in front of the bigger mirror. Happy shaving!

Thanked: 0I strongly agree with the Headlube suggestion. I have been Bald By Choice (mostly...) for about 10 years and for the last 5 I have used Headlube shaving cream and Headlube moisturizer to great effect! They even have a 'Shiny' and 'Matte' option.
