    Default Bert's Bees Aftershave

Just picked up a tube of Bert's Bees Aftershave. In Publix Supermarket of all places! I really like the smell and I'm about to go try it out. I put a little bit on my hands and was surprised at how it was able to smooth out my palms. I'll edit this post in about an hour or so with results.

I'm breaking in a new toy that arrived in the mail last week; A Merkur Barber Pole DE which should be fun.

OK! Done! Loving the new DE. This will be my new "emergency" shaver and travel piece.

Bert's Bees is a success! I love the old-time smell that's left after the product dries and it does not burn at all, so I guess, no alcohol. When you first put the product on, it has a sharper citrusy smell that surprised me, compared to what I smelled when I put a bit on my hands, but that gives way to a "barber-shop" type smell later. I like it.

The only cons so far is that it leaves the hands feeling a little waxy, for lack of a better word. I don't want to say greasy or oily because it's not.

Also at 9 bucks, it's a little pricey but I have yet to compare it to more expensive products like Aveda, which will be my next purchase when I get a chance to go to the Aveda store here on South Beach. After that I will have better metrics for a fair price/performance comment.

    All in all, a winner!
