help fitting aftershave into my post-shave
My current post shave is:
-rinse face with warm water then pat dry
- Rub with thayers alcohol free soaked cotton ball
- Moisturizer
I'd love to try some nice variety of aftershaves. The problem is fitting this in with the rest of my program. Should I do thayers then AS then moisturiser? Or should I replace some or all of the rest of this stuff with aftershave? For instance AS splash on beard then thayers just on forehead, then moisturiser on whole face? Or AS balm on beard then thayers and moisturiser just on forehead? Some whole face product to replace all three?
I might be overthinking this but I will appreciate any input. Also ideas on specific products.

Here's how I do it post shave:
1) Rinse with COLD water and pat dry
2) Squirt a little Thayers into my hands and rub into face (or if any irritation from shave, I rub a wet alum block on my face), let dry while I clean up from the shave
3) Quick rinse of face with warm water, pat dry
4) Apply after shave balm
I prefer after shave balms that are also moisturizers. My favorite so far is Castle Forbes but I've recently order Penhaligon's Opus 1870...will report back.

Alway remember that what ever you use it should be a progression from: Clean; Tone; Moisturize. The difficulty is getting these scents to blend. I'd stick to one brand to do that at first.

+1 on the previous advice, especially eflatminor's. You want to CLOSE the pores of your face after shave. Applying warm water after shaving is good for rinsing off any remaining soap residue, but to begin the process of toning your skin, give it a cold water splash, followed by your Thayers witch hazel. Follow that up with an aftershave balm and finish with aftershave and/or cologne.
