Thread: Post shave routines

Espresso after a shave is surely a treat in my book, so I hit up the Speedster for a nice cappuccino with Northbound's Half Step lately.

If it weren't for Chantix, I would probably enjoy some pipe tobabcco, too. Modern pharma has turned me into a militant ex-smoker. My last pipe tobacco died from staling rather than usage.

I shave at night 8pm-11pm is generally when I get the chance. My daughter is 14months old and has figured out how to open the door to my shave den so for her safety and mine I have to wait till she falls asleep. When I am done I like to have a stiff drink and faceturbate for a while as I smoke a cigar. Word of caution to all the smokers out there...If you use Jovan Musk, make sure and wash your hands before touching your stogie/pipe/cig as the oils will come off onto your smoke and taint the flavor. Benefit from my misfortune please! no one should ruin a perfectly good smoke!!!

I recently learned that the coffee portion of my routine is best undergone after the shave. I lathered up right after my second cup of coffee and had to make a concerted effort to hold still while I shaved.
My days off, I like it best when my son is awake and occupied with breakfast, my wife is engrossed in facebook, and I can lock the bathroom door for 45 minutes. Once clean and shaved, coffee pot goes on and I start my egg-in-toast-hole and corned beef hash. During the week, I shave at night after my son has gone to bed or not at all. I work in a shop so stubble is of no consequence.

Shave, shower and breakfast every morning. Great way to start the day!

I have a cup o joe while enjoying my morning rounds of solitare on the computer (klondike -> freecell -> simple simon) Then I go pour cup #2 and have a smoke, take a couple sips, start the cast iron tub & strop the razor, bathe with a couple sips on the joe. then its onto the shave with cup #2 at about half mast. Its gone by the end of the shave, top it and have the next smoke. Its all downhill from there, dressing etc and off to work. If it wasnt for the variations on the complexity of the card games, you could probably set you watch by my morning routine.
